In January 2025, we equipped a belt pulley casting enterprise with an automated horizontal parting molding machine with a conventional sand box size of 710mm X 610mm (length X width). The machine adopts a sand filling method of simultaneously injecting sand into the top of the upper sand box and the bottom of the lower sand box, which can maximize the automatic molding of large diameter and deep belt pulleys. The sand injection is uniform and there is no dead angle of the mold, allowing the compacted sand mold parting surface to achieve stable compactness.
We have equipped an automated pouring line for conveying and pouring sand molds according to user requirements. The spacious casting workshop consists of a total of 143 sand mold trolleys forming a 56 meter automated pouring line; Most types of pulleys require the placement of coated sand cores after molding, which can complete 55-62 sand molds per hour. Therefore, the 143 sand mold trolley can cool the poured sand mold and casting for about 90 minutes. At the same time, the automated robotic arm automatically places and grabs the outer frame box and weight iron for the molded sand mold, making the pouring process easier and more convenient;
The molding effect of the belt pulley is achieved using an automated casting molding machine, and the compactness range of the parting surface is between 85-92; The central axis adopts the method of placing laminated sand cores, and the mold template adopts a positioning design with diagonal concave convex grooves around it to prevent the upper and lower sand boxes from being misaligned during the later sand mold pushing out and box placement process;
After the equipment is debugged and put into production, different types and sizes of belt pulley castings can be produced using automated casting molding machines, with a casting yield of about 95% -98%;
